How deep do you grind tree stumps?
Our standard stump grind goes 6 to 8 inches below the surrounding soil grade, which is ideal for establishing thick grass turf over the spot. If you plan to pour concrete, install a fence post, or plant a new tree in the same location, let us know and we can grind 12 inches or deeper.
What happens to the wood chips and grindings after stump removal?
Stump grinding produces a mound of wood chips mixed with soil. We can either rake and mound the grindings neatly into the cavity to settle naturally as mulch, or haul away the excess chips and backfill the area with fresh topsoil and grass seed.
Can your stump grinder fit through a backyard fence gate?
Yes. Our equipment can pass through standard 36-inch residential gates while still delivering commercial grinding power for large oak, maple, ash, cottonwood, and pine stumps.
